To determine if an underground storage tank (UST) exists on your property Tanktech dispatches one of our qualified technicians to perform an oil tank scan on the entire area with a state-of-the-art metal detector. After a thorough investigation, if a tank is not found, a Certificate of Metal Detection would be issued.
Tanktech’s Certificates are accepted at financial institutions, insurance companies and will satisfy most potential real estate transactions.
If our technician finds an area of concern but is unable to positively locate an underground storage tank, Tanktech will suggest further investigation. Some of these techniques may include the use of excavation by hand or machine.
If a tank is found, an estimate for the safe removal would be provided. Tanktech would credit the cost of the metal detection towards the cost of the removal.
